E85 mix

GM guys, usually when I run e85 it's 2 gallons and half a tank 93.... Some times I get 17.5psi but if my fuel pumps are factory, how much e85 can I safely run.

Start with 30% E85. Keep in mind your current fuel source may already have 10% Ethanol.

More or less. It doesnt need to be a 100% accurate. That's why I say aim for E30 cause once you tip past E40 you may be pushing the limits.

Approx 4 gallons of E85 with the rest (12 Gallons) pump gas (E10) will give you E30. 6 gallons of E85 will give you E40. If your gas is straight petrol (no ethanol) you will fill with 6 gallons of ethanol and 10 gallons of straight petrol for E30 and a 50/50% mix for E40 (8 gallons E85 + 8 gallons of Petrol). These are based on E85 figures. Your E85 pump may be anywhere from E70-E90.

The 93 down here in Florida contains ethanol, so I'll go with your first suggestion, 4/12... Thanks you all

This mixture can be greatly off of the e85 your using has poor quality.. I say test before u mix..

Example your mix calculators is based off of 85% ethanol content where as some places can have 78% when tested if that makes sense

Log often, review the logs, and that will determine how much E85 you can run on the stock LPFP. My car ran best on E35-40, some can't run more than E20-25, some can run E45.

+1 make sure to log often and double check that your fuel pumps are good.

+2

Can't stress this enough. Log! My friends LPFP died with E25 (105k on car/pump). Every pump is different. Start low, log, and increase accordingly.
