Jehnert and sws
I saw a post months ago about a guy running 1 Jehnert, and 1 SWS under seat sub. Would this fill the mid range gap missing from the SWS subs without destroying the sound? Anyone have experience with this setup, or can anyone offer advice as to why this is a bad/good idea? I did a search but didn't find anything. Thanks

I think you are better off with jehnerts and a trunk sub. If you aren't wanting much bass a 10 or 12" sub in a corner enclosure would be plenty with around 500 watts. You could get a bass knob to control how much bass you want.
The reason I say it wouldn't be a good idea is because you would most likely hear a difference in sound sitting in the drivers seat than the passenger seat. Also, you would most likely have to set the low pass filter the same for both speakers depending on how you have them setup. I would even say just get the jehnerts alone. IMO they put out a decent amount of bass. I had them playing down to 35hz off 75 watts when I had my trunk subs out for a while. |

Just get yourself the Jehnert 8" woofers from 6spdcoupe.
Honestly, just try them once with the proper amp. You'd probably be surprised enough that you might not feel the need for a proper subwoofer. Later, if it's truly not enough, then yeah, maybe get a trunk subwoofer. |
