Bilstein PSS9 combined with K-MAC stage 2 camber plates

Has anyone here installed both Bilstein PSS9 and K-MAC stage 2 camber plates on their E92 335i? I tried it this weekend and ran into some problems. The bolt on top of the Bilstein shocks weren't long enough to properly fasten the top nut. In addition to this there weren't enough clearance between the K-MACs and the plate on top of the springs.

I believe the PSS9 is an upside down configuration so the shaft diameter coming up through the top is bigger than a traditional strut. Therefore the opening of the upper bearing has to be large enough to fit. It is possible that the Kmac does not accomodate a hole larger than stock. As long as you can get at least 50% of the threads secured, use lock tite and you should be OK.

The K-MAC kit came with different size rings/spacers, so I found some which had the right diameter for the Bilstein bolts, but that doesn't solve the problem with the bolts being too short.

Anyway, anyone else feel safe with just 50% of the threads secured with loctite?

The nut only holds the vertical load. I have this same situation on my E36 with camber plates and have been fine for years with only 50% secured and locktite.

Ok, thanks. I have worked on it a bit more today and think I've come up with a solution. Perhaps tomorrow I will even remember to bring along a camera to take some pics of the modifications
