High pitch noise

Am i the only one who hears high pitch noise coming from inside the cabin while driving? My passenger was able to hear this noise too.

It comes on randomly but often. Sometimes, it beeeep beeep beeeep slowly or quickly, for short period of time, or long enough to get me really annoyed.

All the electronic parts are stock except for coding.

Any thoughts on what this could be? I would like to hear you guys' opinion before i take it to dealership.

It's the air conditioner evaporator. I'm willing to bet this happens only when it's warm out and when you have the a/c set to OFF. It will stop if you set the a/c to ON for 10 seconds.

I'm waiting for a service bulletin to come out about this. Lots here have complained. In the meantime, you're likely to get an "unable to duplicate" diagnosis at the dealer.

I've actually been hearing this with mine too!

It's been freezing here in Sydney ever since I bought mine about 3 weeks ago....so it's definitely not the "warm outside" issue for me.

However, I have done the "Golf Tee Mod" and I've read somewhere on here from someone else that it was the cause! As soon as he/she plugged the air vacuum cable back in, the high pitched noises went away

I just love the way my car sounds now after doing the Mod, so for now I just have to turn my stereo on to drown it out with some tunes

And only really hear it with music off lol
