Do I have the high-end audio system in my 2006 330i?

I've been researching replacement vehicles for my now 10 year-old (original E90 launch car) 2006 330i Sport, 6MT. Though I'm not an audiophile, a great sounding system is important to me and it got me thinking about the system in my current E90. Doing a VIN search, it confirms I have the following:

S677A HiFi System Professional DSP

Was this the high-end option in 2006? That was my understanding at the time, and I have been very, very impressed - even today - with the system in my car. It does have Logic 7 surround (which seems gimmicky to me), so I assume it is the high-end. I don't recall a Harmon Kardon (or similar) option back then.

p.s. Any thoughts on how my system compares with the new F30 systems (base Hifi or HK)?

Yes That was normally is what's called the L7 system or Top Hi Fi here.
They haven't changed the specs other than subtracting rear tweeters.
However most aftermarket systems that as described here will out do it easily.

Base system is utter crap
Hi Fi You can live with it if you don't turn it up(added a center speaker in F30 )
Top Hi Fi pretty good

Yeah, in 2006, the 330i came standard with the Logic 7 (an upgrade for the 325's at the time). I have no idea how it compares to the new systems. I know that the M Series sound system was better.

I'm actually quite pleased with the sound quality for a factory system. It's not perfect but it sounds good. I need to add a trunk sub and the tweeters are a bit too bright but I plan on fixing that. It is good enough that I've been spending my money on other aspects of the car, usually, the sound system is the first thing I spend money on.

Yes, I've always been VERY impressed with the system in my 330i...still am.

In the new F30's (that I'm considering), there is of course the base "Hi Fi" system on the 335i, then the upgraded HK. Some say the new HiFi is pretty decent, others say it's terrible. I was just curious how the old upgraded Logic 7 from the E90 compared to both the base and HK options on the new F30. That may be a obscure question.

When I was shopping for a new car for my wife we tried plenty of cars, and none sounded as good as the L7 from my 330.

individual high end system went from 09/2007 on e9x e6x and e7x
it is have 800 watts instead 425 in your top hifi and individual speaker have neodym magnets and kevlar
