It can only void a warranty if the lowering affects the part.
For example, if your headlight falls out it cannot be attributed to the lowering. However, if your suspension fails somehow, it can be safe to assume the arshats at BMW Australia would attribute blame to the components used to lower the car and would deny your warranty claim. |

I would be very surprised if you get any codes at all, can't imagine how you would.
I know one of our brethren has change to coilovers and, to th Ernest of my knowledge, had never had an issue. |

Changed to coilovers 3 weeks ago. No errors, lights or issues yet.

Pretty safe to say it will void your warranty.

Have you got AC schnitzer in Australia?
In Europe you can lower the car and improve its handling using ACS and because its authorised by BMW the warranty stands. |

We can't even get the BMW M performance exhaust, which as I'm sure you know is a BMW product, through BMW as it has not passed australian design regulations (ADR), not sure if that has changed recently though. |

Sorry I haven't noticed your superior country in your profile. As the OP in the thread said, he has talked to several BMW dealers and so have I. Being an expat in Thailand I have talked to my local one in Germany as well and got the same reply.
Anyway, no need for drama - just trying to help. Have a good day, peace out

Just came back from the dealers & can confirm it will not void your warranty.
However they did notice the aftermarket coilovers during servicing but no issues with warranty or service I had an aftermarket: iDrive, bodykit, bucket seat, suspension and they didn't care.

I should double check that Didn't expect them to be so surprised about the mods thought they would be used to it by now.
