M235i all the way but if you want to save a little less on everything get the 228i as its still a cracking car. You might miss the engine noise and feel but might like the lighter front weight of the 4cyl.

Depends on whether you value cost over performance. M235i is very quick and far more enjoyable - depends on your priorities...

Not far more enjoyable, but and this coming from a 228 owner, 235 if you can afford it.

I went 228i M Sport for it is really only going to be a car on the street and it provides more than enough power for what I intend to use it for. If you were going to track it, the M235 definitely has the advantage.

Just got mine and love it. Used to have a 330D which i loved, but prefer the 235i already.
