Lowering springs and alignment

Is an alignment an absolute requirement after installing lowering springs on the M235i?

Well. It's recommended to, anytime you touch the suspension you should get it aligned. However, in my experience after lowering 4 cars with springs - all 4 times when I got it aligned after it settled, it was all within manufacture's specs
