Rear turbo inlet sensor?!

Hey guys,

Amidst installing a turbo inlet system, there is a mysterious sensor hiding in the rear pipe off the PCV route. Part number 13727560227 info tells me it is a "Turbo Air Heater" ... Huh?

Do I need to have this incorporated or plugged in? Is it necessary to have or will it trip codes?? Please let me know what you figure or have experienced.

Much appreciated in advance.
