fixing rear wastegate rattle with hardware. discussion and questions
I'm installing downpipes on my car next weekend and plan on replacing rear wastegate actuator, vacuum lines, and boost solonoids at the same time to rid the rattle.
I set my jb4 fud to 98 and the rattle is almost gone. The lag is livable, but less is better. And i believe map 5 over rides this. Correct me if im wrong. Questions are, when adjusting new actuator, how much vacuum should i set to have wastegate fully closed? I was thinking mimicking the vacuum it takes to close the front one. And fine adjusting through jb4 Is there anything else i could do, or replace to help? |

Apply 200mbar vacuum with a hand vacuum pump and you should be able to barely spin the 'wastegate coin' once applied, if it is still free, then adjust the wastegate arm accordingly until you get the above feeling.
