Steering after downpipes

I just picked my car up after having downpipes installed (2010 335XI) and now the steering is much stiffer than before. Any ideas what could be causing this?

They could have messed up the steering rack, take it back to verify.

I don't believe they had to touch the steering rack as they lowered the subframe since it's an XI. But I'll check with them on Monday. Any other ideas?
