Whats all required to run a mix of E85 35%+?

I was just wondering what is all required to run a 35-40% mix of E85? I am 100% stock with just a JB4. I just got the car like a week ago so I am new. I ran a 30% mix already and ran Map 5 let it tune a bit and it pushes 15-16 psi max n pulls like a sob lol. Early in the map I might have pushed it to hard I got a half engine symbol in the cluster but no check engine light. The turbos shut down 100% I restarted the car and have since put 70+ miles no problems. My DCI will be here Monday. I hear stuff about like some back end flash but I have no clue what that is. All my air fuel ratios and timing looked good too when I ran this. 2008 335XI 55k. I should say 1 time the car went into map 4 (safety map) when I was spinning alot in 2nd (it was raining)

You need to do some reading before you do something stupid.

Some people have been able to get away with 40% e85 on a stock fuel system and some haven't. Test and log and tune and test and log until your trims and pressures are at a safe level.

I did do some reading and seen people were running up to 40+% e85 on a stock car with map 5 so I started at 30%... It was probably even maybe slightly lower.

Ptf said that they go up to 50% on stock setup. That said just get the right Fuel-it pump and go 100% less than a grand and 1-2 hour DIY install. Why not?

Key is logging and watching your high and low pressures, trims, AFRs. Every car is a little different. You will usually need some sort of fuel scalar adjustment via flash around E35 or so. The LPFP starts to give out around E45-50. These are estimates but will vary slightly car to car.

You can also go the route of procede with flex fuel sensor. Those guys were running 100% e85 on stock fuel systems
