Z4 35i DCT Dyno on Wedge E40 Tune 423whp and 464wtq

I had my car tuned by Wedge before I head off to the Wannagofast 1/2 mile event at Heaven's Landing this weekend. I have been working with Wedge to get my car ready and I am very happy with the power that I am making.

It was 90 degrees when I dyno'd today so that did not help my numbers but I am very happy with the results. I also had some throttle closure between 3500 and 4500 which should be fixed by an update to my tune.

My performance mods are as follows:

Wedge E40 custom tune
AR Catless DP's
HPF FMIC
REMUS Exhaust
BMS DCI
Turbosmart BOV
Stock Turbos
Stock Inlets
Stock LPFP

BEAST!!! Congrats Lambo!

I can use your advise. I have dct, and at 2500, 3rd gear ifeel like its kicking down to 2nd. BQ recommend to press down just before the quick down switch and applying more throttle as the rpms rises.

Is this what you've been doing? What's you technique, any tips?

Thank man, and congrats again on the awesome numbers

Not sure if you were reading the post or just looking at the picture. As OP stated, he had a throttle closure. That accounts for the torque drop. Stock inlets also which is why power drops off.

Just so you know, we do not dyno tune... we're not about the one gear pull like others, we're more about making the car consistent throughout each gear which is not the same as doing a 4th or 5th gear pull on a dynojet.

If you want to experience the difference, shoot me an email.

Dyno tuning is pointless to me because you can not duplicate real life driving. My tuning has been much more successful logging and making adjustments vs doing a 4th gear pull on the dyno. I only get on the dyno to get a baseline for the mods that I am running. I really don't care if it is 420 or 450 at the wheels. I would gain 20 to 30 whp if the temps were 20 degrees lower yesterday, but does that really matter. You can never push enough air across the FMIC with fans to duplicate real world anyways.

All I can say is that this car is very fast for stock turbos and no Meth.

Dyno tuning is absolutely necessary to run a safe and consistent high power tune. But to get the most out of it, especially in a street car, a tuner should always take the car out and "polish" the tune for partial throttle/stop-go driving.
