C63S...
oh my, the sound every review has classed it better than the M, what a car, it appears Mercedes have upped their game and have streaked ahead of the M with this one...

Without a doubt this is a beast of a car. You'd be silly not to consider one if thinking of an M3 / M4.
Think of tuning potential too? Scary. However, I'm not too convinced with styling, should the arches not be flared? Looks too similar against a standard AMG C class apart from exhausts, and the M3 looks so more aggressive. Merc definitely have upped their game though engine wise with this, but also C400 and C450 both look pretty good alternatives to the 335i / 340i. |

The monkey absolutely loves the car, good review by him here, nice insight into the internals of the car, a lot of research has gone into the making of that gorgeous sound.

I still feel BMW dropped the ball with the new M3/4, they have a lot of catching up to do after the C63S, the biggest USP for BMW, handling is now matched, C63S make more power, have you seen the drag videos comparing the M3 with the new C63 ? BMW gets obliterated ....

Tbh, I just hate the styling as well.
Everything else is lovely. I'd love the older version. |

But very envious of those who can, I see all the AMG Mercs/RS Audi as pretenders to the thrown The new M3/M4 though, isn't it just a N54 engine with lots of extra cooling and a M-diff stuck on to the rear differenital....A modified 335i will offer the same for much less money (expect for the extra cooling bit). I'm sure its a good car, but surely not in the same league as a F10 M5... |

M3/ M4 may not be as powerful as this car but surely they look 5 times better and aggressive than this car. Saw black M3 with black wheels and instant They do not have aggressive wheel offset compared to e90 M3 but certainly more aggressive looking cars than this merc. I agree that bmw should improve their game as audi and merc are launching super cars.....

This is the reason I won't bother looking at the New m3/m4 as its just a 335i engine. Nothing special in my eyes. The "M" to me should be a significant difference to the rest of the range! I just feel It spoils the brand in my eyes, love the e90 v8 but not the newer models! |

A lot of other cars require opening up the engine and refitting with forged parts to stop something exploding under the increased load. |

M3/m4 Different block head was similar to the n55 but a different engine in general if i remember reading correctly.
Better turbos better cooling cant really argue its a better engine then a n55/54 but can it really take that much power modded and at what point is it worth it. The c63 is a beast c63s is just years ahead looks are subjectable its a matter of opinion same as the new f8x's some like it some dont cant really change someones mind as to what they like. You cant argue that its a better platform with better technology only argument is that there is no Manual. |

Sounds great IMO its german muscle for sure. Its and enthusiasts car not a take it to a wedding car. But the whole exhaust note is adjustable so you can tame it.

The sound of that Merc wouldn't be to my taste.
Now the E60 M5 or the Ferrari F40. Those are nice engine sounds!

No doubt, looks and sounds a lot better, have always preferred it to the e92 M3's, in the used market, they have always been more expensive to buy than the m3's, fabulous cars
Like the new one a lot tho, not a big fan of the understated looks, but it has the m3 licked in all other departments, I like the fact that they now come with a slip differential and with the turbos the tuning potential is a lot more than the NA engines Read all about the differences between the S55 and the N55 on this thread http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=893611
