Hello all,
Sorry if it's a repeat question, does anyone have an update or even know if there's a possibility of the user EQ audio settings ever coming back to the M235i?

I've addressed all avenues and remarked on all the surveys. Perhaps someone has some insight of this simple feature ever coming back either through coding or a iDrive update... or amp replacement.

Ugg. I got a 2015 X3 with the same package and it has the EQ. Same iDrive software update done. Weird that it's just not there, you'd think all the iDrive's are the same across the models. I'm assuming the reason the M235 doesn't have it is because of the addition of engine sound through the speakers. Just wish I could turn that off and have the EQ back - music is more important to me than fake engine sounds.

The haram Kardon system is not the same that's why you can't have the eq

Thanks for the responses. Sad really, my 2011 135 had it, didn't even think twice on the possibility of losing it on the trade-up. Loved the audio in that car.

I've been Google searching how to get the HK eq coded into 2 series stereos and found this thread:

From what I read, this is what needs to be coded:

AUDIO_SYSTEM: hifi_system_harmankardon = 06
AMPLIFIER_VARIANT: most = 02
EXTERNER_MOST: aktiv = 01

VO is set to 677

I'm not near my car to verify this and I don't have the capability to code the VO (Bimmercode can't do this).

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this?

VO is irrelevant.... also i don't believe 677 is a valid option either

just do

How about 3002 AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC > AUDIO_SYSTEM_VAR?
There's variant 1 through 4. I've read this changes the EQ curve of the actual output of the headunit.

audio_system_var does this:

"Comment = defines which VARIANT of eq-data set must be loaded"
