Question Lost to a G8 GT...

So I did a few races with a G8 GT and lost basically every one of them.

Mods:
335xi- jb4, catless downpipes, 7" intercooler, and dci. Running map 5 with 4 gallons of e85 mixed in.

G8 GT- tune, intake, and exhaust

Race #1: 30 mph roll. Traction control light kept coming on so and my car wouldn't move so he totally sh*t on me.

Race #2: 30 mph roll. Same thing. Traction control light kept coming on and he sh*t on me again.

Race #3: 30 mph roll. No traction control lights came on and he had about a car length on me.

Race #4: 30 mph roll. I beat him by about a car length. (Don't think he should even be close to me but whatever)

Race #5: Off a dig. I had about 1-2 cars on him before we let off. (Which makes no sense to me. I should've beat him by a lot.)

And that's about it. I definitely think I should be beating him by a lot more than I am, if I even beat him........ Is there something wrong with my car or what? I just put the jb4 in 2 days ago. No check engine lights or anything. I can't do a log because I don't have a USB cable at the moment. And also, should the traction control light be coming on? I don't see why I don't have any traction as I have AWD.

Why did you have traction control on? Turn that off- problem solved...

lol you don't know how to drive:roll eyes:

XI you should have traction control off at all times, if auto make sure you have alpine flash and shift at 6-6200k RPM.

Forgot to say that I did have traction control off and the same thing was happening as when I have it on.

It's almost like it never actually turned the traction control off.

I turned it off but it still seemed like it was engaged. Should this even be a close race between me and him?

you need to keep pushing on the button for 10 seconds to turn it completely off.
If you only pressed it once then you turned on DTC ( dynamic traction control)

Are you sure it was a gt and not a gxp. A gxp stock will do 0-60 in 4.5sec.
Even a stock gt will do 0-60 in about 5.4 sec.

This... You def didn't turn off TC all the way... You should have romped him, also would have helped to be RWD but should have still taken it by a couple cars by 75mph

Had something similar happen to me, traction was off and traction light kept flashing. In my case it was horrible tires, I was running iMoves all season which gave me no traction when I was getting on it.
Car is FBO minus meth.

Good luck

From a dig, the Xi with your mods and launched right is in the 3.x area. You should have destroyed him. Those cars are as heavy as our xi pigs.
