2016 340i Orders Starting

My CA called me yesterday to say that they will start taking orders on new 340s, beginning the first of June. I plan to go over to the dealer soon to see what kind of pricing/options info they have.

Note: Typo in the Heading. Should read 340

Interesting. I'll be 2 years into my lease in August, so I'm primed for a 2 1/2 year pull ahead soon. Really interested in specs, prices etc.

If you click Edit and Go Advanced you can edit the title.

Without the Ordering Guide no dealer can tell you anything about pricing and specific options.

I stopped by the dealership to check on this and my CA told me that they do not have a date yet, but 1st week of June may not be out of the ordinary. He also mentioned that they can see the car (i.e., model only) in the system, but there was absolutely no further information on options or pricing. He said he will be on the lookout for it and let me know if something showed up.

Per one of the members at another BMW message board, pricing has been released for the 2016 320i and xDrive, 328i/d xDrive, and 340i and xDrive.

EDIT: Pricing and order guide is now available at the other message board.

My math sucks, someone please confirm this for me so I can better compare with the $52k C450 AMG......

I would be ordering:
340i
M Sport
Manual
Leather
Base paint option
Top of the line audio
Hell, throw in the rear view camera and fancy ass headlights too.

Looks like it will be right there with the C450. Will need to drive both. I'm wondering if that Mercs stronger engine will make up for its likely crappy tranny.

Standard LED lights are not Full Adaptive. Also, the lighting package includes automatic high beams.

Posted this in another thread but wanted to put it here too. Just talked to my CA about ordering a new 340 and he said they would do it for about $2K off MSRP. While that did not sound too bad for a new 2016 LCI right out of the gate, I wondered how that would stack up against invoice pricing, plus X. Do not recall seeing any invoice pricing posted yet - has anyone seen it?

I was hoping to get $500-$1000 over invoice minus incentives. But I haven't had any experience negotiating with a new model year/LCI.....

I am thinking to have a sign agreement with selling price when ordering and wait till car comes and lease price announced later to get actual lease price

That's 1 reason I'm still holding off my order...I don't think the invoice pricing sheet comes out anymore.

Has BMW stopped taking orders for 335i's now that 340 order has commenced? I thought I read that orders could still be placed up through 6/30, assuming dealers still have slots available.

Yes, SOP is 7/15. Weaselboy has received a production number already. I placed an order on Saturday for week 30 production but I haven't followed up with my CA since then for a production number.

I was told by my CA mine would be Aug build and that my order is in the system - he sent screen shot of order. I'm currently waiting for a production number.
