Portland Cars & Coffee M Car Adventure

As the Portland Cars and Coffee event ramps up at its new home, I figure it's best to start a thread to coordinate pre-meets, and track who is in town! Even though your engines lack individual throttle bodies, the cars all share the collection of tens, if no hundreds of M badges. Let's all gather in advance for a quick chance to make introductions & showoff, followed by a collective roll into the C&C event. Here are the details for the first meet, tomorrow, 16 May:

Portland Cars & Coffee Pre-Meet!!
08:00 @ Rose City Poker
North lot (near Chevron)
25425 SW 95th Ave
Wilsonville, OR 97070
Quick meet & greet, etc.

08:10 Depart to Portland Cars & Coffee at Portland Cars & Coffee at World of Speed Museum
27490 SW 95th Ave
Wilsonville, OR 97070
Cruise in together, make friends, binge on caffeine, depart.

While the times are a bit earlier than seasons past, the event has grown substantially--often making it a hassle to even park. The event gates open promptly at 08:00, so no point in arriving to the destination prior to then.

Missed this, completely fell off my radar. Shame because it isn't far from the house. Will definitely plan and try to make the next one. Lots I still need to learn on this car. 1st BMW. Hope everyone had a good time inspite of the drizzle.

The first weekend was a resounding success--we have a bit of logistics to sort out, however the turnout...just a new benchmark altogether. Some photos for the visual pleasure can be found here:

@braydenjoel

@supercarphotographer

As an organization, we're looking forwarding to refining some of the processes but look forward to you all joining in the future! Only 2 F8X's this weekend

Saturday is approaching quickly! As it is Memorial Day weekend Portland Cars & Coffee is inviting past and present members of the armed services to park their vehicles in the featured lot at this weekend's event. Who's planning to attend?

Shoot, I live just down the street from World of Speed. Sorry I missed the event. Still need to get over there for a tour. The kids keep asking. Anyway, when is the next event?

Portland Cars & Coffee takes place every Saturday, throughout the year, regardless of the weather. With the forecast looking as it presently does, this weekend most certainly will bring out a great selection of vehicles--may even one of you F8X guys will wake up in time

I regularly work at the event and unfortunately cannot be at the pre-meet location (0.8 miles north of WoS Museum) so a volunteer to lead the pack would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, just saw the 8am pre-meet time and the 8:10 depart time. But again, wondering if WOS is going to be the new regular spot. Thanks again.

08:00 pre-meeting at Rose City Poker's north parking lot for a collective, M car drive into Portland Cars & Coffee (down the road at World of Speed.)

World of Speed is the new, permanent home for Portland Cars & Coffee

With the weather as it has been over the past couple days, tomorrow is looking like it will be an event, not to miss! Hope to see a number of M cars tomorrow, I'll likely be greeting you all at the gate.

People are tending to meet in the location itself--the new venue enables people arriving at their convenience without the fear of, "needing to be there before XX:XX to obtain parking." For the past couple months I had been at every event (I'm part of the organizing staff.) I'm on a bit of a hiatus at the moment as I'm travelling quite a bit for work again.
