I just scooped up Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads and StopTech slotted rotors for $485 shipped from AutoAnything.com.
I don't AutoX or drag race; just spirited street driving for me. These will do the trick without annoying squeaks.

Best brakes I've ever used are Performance Friction. Not rotor-friendly, dust a bit, can be noisy, bite hard across a wide temp range, but can be grabby cold. For tracking, nothing else even comes close.
For street/auto-X/light tracking I prefer Porterfield R4S. Good balance of properties. Still high-torque but easier on rotors, quieter, light dusting, but still more dust than OEM. Not as high-temp capability as the PFC but better than OEM. For street only the 2011+ factory pads are non-dusting, quiet and still have good stopping torque. |
