VRSF CP problems
About 1 week ago I installed my VRSf cp with stock diverter valves that Im currently running unplugged from intake holes. Last night I installed my VRSF catless downpipes and went for the first drive with them. On my first WOT pull in 2nd gear I was at about 5000rpm when I heard a loud pop/bang noise and instantly loss power. I was running map 5 with 95octane when this happend. I pulled over, popped the hood and instantly noticed the lower rubber elbow was completely off its connection. I got it back home and wrenched down that hose clamp as much as I could.
Today I've been running map 2 and everything has been fine except when I did another low gear WOT pull. Got through 1st and then right around 4-5000rpm in 2nd, the same thing happend!!! Only this time it detached off the throttle body. The C-clip looked like it haddent even moved, although my CP was about an inch of the throttle body. How common is this problem and how can it be fixed or reinforced??

I didn't receive any sort of seal. What end of the pipe is it supposed to be on?

1st. Be sure the CP & O-Ring are FULLY SEATED onto the throttle body. This takes a bit of extra pushing to make it go all the way on, then push on your C-Clip.
2nd. Why are you running stock DVs without the hoses connected? I assume you mean the large plastic tubes that divert back to the inlets. |

I have the holes on my intake capped off so yes the stock diverter valve hoses are not diverting the air back into the intake but now back into the atmosphere. Reason of doing so is I wanted to get a louder bov sound but I didn't want to spend money on a bov if my stock DV's are not leaking and functioning fine. I know some people don't agree with the so called "$2 bov mod" but I see no harm.

Push the c clip onto the pipe all the way first. Then slide the pipe into the tb, and listen for a click. Make sure the c clip is fully seated along top and sides, and try to pull the pipe just to be sure it won't come off.

Okay, I will try this. And just to be clear, I did not revive any type of seal or gasket when I bought the cp directly from VRSF's website. I want to make sure I'm not missing a key component here? Just C-clip and properly seat on throttle body and then for the other end just make sure the hose clamps on the elbow are as tight as possible?

Give it a light tug when you reinstall it, and see if it comes off. If it does, I'd make sure the TB outer part is clean, and if that fails, contact Tiago@Vrsf
