Coding out EDC

Hey Guys,

Thinking about going with some KW V3. On my E92 I had the EDC errors coded out instead of buying the expensive modules. Does anyone know what that would require on this car?

Thanks

Would like to know how to do this too. Having faults with mine at the track, so would be nice to be able to turn it on/off by myself.

I know EAS knows how to do it, they offer coding it off when purchasing a KW suspension from them.

Looks like it requires VO coding and removing the code for EDC.

Do you mean you want to code it off without actually getting rid of the struts? Do you just want to turn off the light? Or turn off the EDC function itself?

It doesn't really work that way. The DDC function is not just the adjustability via the button, it's the continuous realtime adjustment based on road conditions. If you turn off EDC control, the shocks will either go into a fail safe mode that's design purely to get you to the dealership safely, or default to full soft or full stiff. Full still might sound good, but that level of damping is only intended for very short bursts to control potholes or large swells. The dampers are not designed to run at full stiff for an extended period, and they are not tuned with this in mind.

Using the adaptive struts without the adaptive function is not feasible or desirable.
