E92 showing fault codes but no SES light - HELP

Took a 328i to the mechanic for a PPI. No lights were on on the cluster, neither the status check on the vehicle display. When he pulled the code, 4 showed up
2ADA, 2AD8, 2F9E, 2A9A

This is the first BMW I've had inspected, so I'm not sure whether a fault code should show up without any warning light in the vehicle. The mechanic wasn't a BMW specialist at all, from what I could tell. He didn't know anything about these codes, but told me I'd have to spend a lot of money in repairs if I purchased the car.

So, should I take the car to a BMW mechanic? (couldn't do one first time around since no one around me was open on a weekend). Or, is it safe to assume that the car could be troublesome?

Forgot to mention; the car passed smog yesterday! Should it be able to pass smog with these fault codes? I think not.
