Pressure Washer Recommendations
Hola.
I have been using a Karcher X series 1800 PSI for the past two years. Yesterday I pulled it out to do my weekly wash and its totally unresponsive. I paid $225 shipped for it and it lasted almost exactly two years. So the value was decent considering I used it a lot. Before I order another I want to consider new options that may have surfaced. Any suggestions from people with first hand experience? I would consider gas as well. Would like to stay under $500 and to go to max budget would expect it to last longer then 2 years. |

I first bought a gas powered Husky and found it to be loud and heavy, had more power than I needed for car washing, needs maintenance, gas refills, etc. I then bought an electric Sun Joe for $200. I added quick connects for the water hose and an extension for the pressure hose so that it reaches all around the car without the need to move the unit. Couldn't be happier

You are not using that on your car I hope. I have a 3000 psi Husky that is about 8 years old and still works great. I just would never use any kind of pressure washer on my car!

Looks like you have already made your purchase, but to answer your question: yes, the Kranzle is about $1,200, but it should last a long time. It seems to be the more economical choice in the long run and it is unquestionably a better machine.

The Kranzle would have to last over 10 years to be more economical. The warranty on them is only 2 years.

Yes, the original hose is way too short. I just got this extension hose:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It fits perfectly and it allows you to go all the way around the car without having to move the unit. It's pretty stiff (even stiffer than the original hose) but it works well. I also got these for plugging the water hose into the unit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Have had my SPX3000 for over a month now, really have enjoyed it ! Cant beat the price, great quality.
Anyone used the detergent tanks with car wash soap ? Debating on getting a foam sprayer to connect or just simply fill the tanks up with my car soap? Let me know ! |

I have seen car washes using pressure washer, but think about it. The pressure of the water will tend to drive the dirt deeper in the very small crevices in the paint. Yes they are fast, but if you talk to a professional that does very high end cars you will learn that they are not good for any part of a car. If you need to remove grease and grim to start the restoration project they are great Lots of warm water and good quality car soap should get any car clean. Dry after use and rock on.

My car is absolutely swirl free and I use it weekly. So I guess I'm not driving the dirt into my paint I'm just spraying it off |
