2015 BMW M Power Experience

Is anyone going to this event in Las Vegas in mid May?

Two days, of which one is spent driving M cars, including the new X5M and X6M on the track.

Yes I'm going. It's actually one full day of driving (Saturday). Friday night is gathering and dinner (possibly a reveal of the X5M/X6M, similar to M6GC at COTA). Sunday is an early morning helicopter ride over Grand Canyon (no driving).

I'm also thinking of going. Looks like two driving sessions on Saturday of 7 hours together. Have you been to events like these in the past?

I did the winter training last year.

It was a really nice day. We did some driving with xdrive and without. With abs and without. We did some figure 8 drifting, moose test with cones, etc.

It's was on man-made ice with a typical winter weather.

I've never done a real racetrack day.

I spoke with BMW and they told me this is a private event open to 40 current M drivers and they do them every year in different countries.

I was told its two sessions of 3-3:30 hours each with two drivers in the car so you get paired up with another participant and switch seats every so often. Will be driving the full M lineup on the track including the new X5M and X6M. They said pairing people up seems to give the best experience to participants based on prior events given that a lot of driving is done at the limit and requires concentration.

I am waiting for the video from last year's event in Istanbul and the map of the track.
