I have matte black on my Montego blue e90. I think the blue looks good, but the black gives more contrast IMO.

Agreed with above. I rock the piano finish. Contrast, esp. if you plan on getting your roof wrapped black, which looks amazing on our color.

can always get gloss black and wrap it with montego blue vinyl to change it up. i may do that just to see if i like it.
