Duke Dynamics : Scammed , Folled

Hello, I made a purchase from this store four months ago and I have not received any product or refund my money. I recommend to anyone interested in buying the company, do not buy it, have no customer service and keep the money.

Thanks

Unfortunately OP I am in the same boat. I ordered a quad diffuser for an e90 from them on December 30th and have yet to receive anything. Everytime I call they say one more week.

The main reason I purchased from them is because they are the only ones that seem to make quad diffusers for the e90 anymore.

I will be submitting a paypal dispute this week i think as I am getting sick of the waiting.

you guys should absolutely be filing disputes with your bank, paypal or credit card company. They are scamming you out of money. Plain and simple.

You likely have consumer protections that your method of payment provides you, use them.

File a dispute with paypal if that is what you used. It took me several months, but I eventually got my money back from them. The key is filing the dispute. I would tell them you are filing a dispute (after you file it). Then, no need in continuing to communicate with them. All they do is tell lies and prolong the process. If you have email communication with them..save it for the dispute process also.

I don't understand how they are still in business either. Good products can only cover poor customer service for so long...customer service is key! They have ZERO customer service and I get the impression they really don't care.

Best practice is to always search the vendor/member feedback forum before purchasing. Especially if it's a big ticket item like the infamous 1M bumpers.

This is all well and good (and what I did), but the problem is finding someone else who will make you a quad diffuser for an e90. No one else seems to have them.

Any way an update I called them again today and they said its going to be about at least another week or two as they are just finishing the prototype for a new dry carbon mold.

Filed a dispute via paypal this afternoon. Hopefully will see money back.

I ordered a quad diffuser in February, didn't get any updates for a couple weeks so I called in. He said that they are transitioning from the factory in Asia to one in Canada.

He also sent me pics of the new design for the diffuser but I liked the older one better. Apparently the mould for that is in Asia so it will be made there and the new one will be made in Canada. He also said mine will be made next week. Not sure how much of this is true, but we'll find out next week.

From what you wrote, I got that you ordered a diffuser, they took too long over it, but were responsive to your contact (when you called), the last they told you is it was being worked on, at which point...you did what? You asked them for your money back and they refused, so you filed paypal? Or you didn't ask for your money back from DD, you just filed a dispute from under them and left them with a half finished product they no longer have a client for without any warning whatsoever...? Sorry if I'm missing something, but if it is that second scenario, that was very dubious move, even if the vendor is a total buttmunch.

You obviously have not dealt with DD before. So I ordered the diffuser in December of 2014. Never heard anything till I called in February of 2015. Every time I called I was told 2 more weeks. Finally by April 29th by getting told two more weeks still when I called I filed a paypal dispute. I filed a dispute because that is how DD told me I would get a refund. They wouldnt just refund me my money but said I had to go through paypal. That alone is dubious and total butt munch as you call it.

Also what should be noted is that on their site and everywhere you can buy them they quote 6-8 weeks before delivery. At the April 29th point I was 17 weeks in with giving them plenty of chances to fulfill the order and their promise/guarantee. So honestly whether douche or not, I dont care if they are left with a half finished product.

If you're ok with it, I guess...personally, I would have told them that I no longer wanted the diffuser from them, to give me my money back and then if/when they didn't, I'd file a dispute. I don't know, maybe I'm just a sucker for due process. I'm not judging, just asking, no offense intended, it's entirely your business. It certainly sounds like they deserve anything and everything they get!

You are missing what I said. I spoke with them and told them i wanted a refund they said they wouldnt give me one directly and I had to file a dispute through paypal.... This is exactly what you just said. If they dont understand that me requesting a refund is that I no longer wanted the diffuser then they have more problems than just customer sat.

It sounds as though they have plenty of people waiting around for products they could sell that one to.

It also sounds like they do not have a factory but rather make them in a garage and only after enough people file PayPal disputes and they run out of cash! They sounds like fucking idiots.
