Possible Clutch Slip?

Currently FBO. Running e30 on Cobb AP3, When I'm rolling about 50 in 3rd gear and punch it. I'm not too sure , but my RPMS climb extremely fast as soon as I feel like I'm hitting my max amount of boost . and yes yes , I know it sounds kind of like a stupid question. but it just feels funny, and the car is Moving as it feels like it should 3rd and 4th gear pulls to 120+ but.. I could just be over thinking? And it almost feels as if I'm losing traction as well, but no lights start to blink . But has anybody else encountered this problem before?

Boost lag, throttle delay, maybe fuel pump struggling if it's stock. To test that theory, throw it in 5th at around 20-25 mph. Try to accelerate. If rpms rise without resistance, slipping clutch. (Don't do that all the time lol)

Try brake boosting, 40mph, 3rd gear, see if the rpm climb or stays steady... If it climbs you need a new clutch

You would need to be going faster than 25 in 5th to test this. Peak boost comes on around 2000rpm which is where the car is making peak torque, putting the most stress on the clutch. 25 in 5th is only like 1200 rpm or so. I say go at least 45 in 5th to make sure you're reaching peak boost, OP.

yep clutch slip, I had this issue. In higher gears when I jump on the gas the RPM would jump up a bit and slowly the car could pick it speed. I first notice it in 5 and 6th and then is showed up in 4 and then 3rd. My clutch as toast and I replace it and everything is fine.

335is clutch. Similar to stock feel but greater holding power plus cost is reasonable.

I have a 335is clutch for sale. It is fully compatible with the 335i transmission, but capable of holding more torque while still keeping a OEM clutch pedal feel. I bought it from ECS tuning but ended up not needing it. PM me if interested.
