Steering wheel paddles help
Guys I installed a MSport wheel with paddles sometime ago but have never managed to get the paddles to work. Now this did not bother me as I always manually changed using the gearstick anyway.
However , the more I have thought about it , the more it is beginning to bug me. Why don't they work is it a coding issue ?

what SE steering wheel did you have first? the big ugly weird shape one or the one which looks really similar to m sport.
i think it may be your MFSW buttons. if your using M Sport ones it might not work as this is what happened with M3 wheel when i put it in mine. others will be able to confirm though for defo soon. |

Are they plugged in?
I know having changed the wheel in mine a couple of times as long as the everything is plugged in correctly they have worked fine (inc. SE push/pull paddles and DCT ones). As above if the buttons are from an M3 and has the M button in place then that will not work.

Mark,
If you don't have any success: Is your M Sport wheel from a late 2010 onwards car? The paddles changed then from the push/pull to pull only, and the paddle electronics changed from just being a discrete switch to switches and pull-up resistors. This means that there are less wires to connect, although the plugs are the same. It could be that if the wheel is a late one, the wires just aren't there. Just guessing though Mike |

Still resisting the lure of the re-map!
Seem to spend more time towing with the dog carrier than solo these days, but it's more of a rush when I do drive solo. Went to mid-Wales with the caravan a fortnight ago. 27-ish to the gallon on the way towing. 30-ish to the gallon on the way back solo. Love some of those Welsh roads! Four days later, the reverse trip, with an overall of a more normal 33 to the gallon. My son is on his first season of rallying a Freelander (very grass roots!), with me screaming in the passenger seat as co-driver. No wonder I am going greyer! See you around sometime Mike |
