F30 335i on track

Hi all

BMW Club Denmark had rented the "national" track Jyllandsringen yesterday. This video is from inside my car with two passengers riding along.

Enjoy :-)

Quite a lot of lean on the corners. Did you have it on sport chassis?

It was in Sport+ mode which I believe is the most rigid mode. But as stated I had to passengers and my car is fully loaded with options so the total weight was probably around 1900kg (about 4200lbs).

Btw. Average consumption after 73km (45 miles) of track driving was 40l/100km or 5.9mpg

How come they put the cones on the track instead of off track? Can't really tell what those rumble strips are like, but I wouldn't want to be running over cones at 80 MPH. You could even see one that was kicked to the middle of the track in the beginning.

The cone in the middle of the track (the first one) was actually at the side (of the road) in the beginning but someone moved it with his car ;-). The second cone in the left side corner was placed there in order to get the speed down in order to take turn right in the next corner. Without that cone people would have had to much speed for the right side corner just after and would have ended in the sand. The cones were placed there to support the ideal line. Simply aim for them but not hit them ;-)
