Rolex Submariner

Hey guys, I am in the market of a Rolex Submariner 116610.

Any current owners? What do you think is a fair price considering ranges between $5k and $12k

What are some things to look out for?

Considering newer than 2010 due to the fact that there are no pins exposed
Do you by any chance mean the 114060? (https://beckertime.com/blog/the-new-...ariner-114060/)

Source: http://www.fratellowatches.com/frate...14060m-review/

You'll need to go newer than 2012, not 2010. Also, you'll need to go 114060 not 14060 if you don't want the pierced lugs. The version in the pic above is the 14060 and as you can see, it has pierced lugs.

I think $$8K is the absolute most you should agree to pay for a 14060 that has no gold on the bracelet or case. That said, something in the $5K - $6.5K range is all you should need to get one, even with box, papers, a recent (past month or less) servicing, and a seller's one year warranty.

All the best.

P.S.
I would probably go with the one having the lug holes, but to each his own.

A lughole 14060 should not run you more than $5k(used) or you are getting robbed, unless it's NOS then maybe another grand(with all boxes and papers).
The lughole 14060 "no date" Subs are very popular - lug holes are very popular in the Rolex community and these watches are holding strong values, especially the last generation before they went to the ceramic 114060.

For a ceramic 114060 no lug holes, you should not pay more than $6.5-$7k(used) for an excellent condition complete set. A new one can run you $7-$7.5 BNIB complete set.

Condition is important, but over everything buy from a reputed seller. Buy the seller, not the watch or the price. If you are not well versed in Rolex buying and aren't going to an authorised dealer then I would take some time to educate your self. TRF is a great Rolex forum full of information.

If you just need a wealth of info about Rolex watches, few places have as much well organized "scoop" in one place as does Bernard Watch. (http://www.bernardwatch.com/Rolex-Model-Overview)

I just gave the link for the overview, but there're other pages well worth checking out. BW is also a reliable seller, as are many other places:
- Bob's Watches
- Alan Furman
- Jomashop
...and others.

All the best.

116610LN is my watch of choice as well. Like the sound of my S65, I simply cannot get enough of this watch. Shot in its natural setting with iPhone 5S. Yacolt, WA.

She's a beauty. I'll be going downtown on Tuesday to check a few out. Anything to beware of while shopping for a rollie?

I would ensure that the retailer is in fact, an authorized Rolex dealer for warranty and authenticity purposes.

Also, some dealers will forego the sales tax if you pay in cash. Something to consider.

What year is the cut off point where there made the bezel flush without the lug holes? on the 116610LN

Nice pick. Looking at either a Submariner or GMT II Master next year. Haven't decided yet. Already have an Explorer I, so I want something more sporty.
