Where can I find a grill like this?
Hi guys,
Looking for new kidney grilles for my e90 LCI sedan. The stock ones have too much chrome but I don't want to go full black-out either. I'd like to have an option that keeps the chrome surrounds but has gloss or matte black slats. Where can I find those? Here is a pic of what I might be looking for:

If the grills are like the ones on the e92 the center section comes out. You can buy a pair of full blackout grills and just swap over the center section. Another option would be to pull out the center section and paint it.

Yeah like jwz mentioned. Just paint the inside of the stock chrome grilles. They should be a 2 piece grille if they like the e92/93 ones.

Oh cool, thanks for the tip. If no one knows of grilles that come with chrome surrounds and black slats, can someone confirm that the surrounds and slats separate on the e90 LCI grilles? If that's true, I'll just get a set of gloss black grilles and swap out the slats.
I don't think painting the chrome slats is a great option--seems like paint wouldn't adhere that well and would chip off from rocks revealing the chrome underneath.

They are two piece as they said. Just paint them. If you're worried about rock chips, then you can use plastidip cause that's really easy to redo plus it's really cheap.

Ok thanks guys. I'd still prefer to buy replacements ready to snap in place to avoid dealing with a paint shop, so if anyone knows a good source, let me know. If not, I'll go with the painting option.
Opinions on gloss black vs matte black for the slats?

Did this with my E39. Used the black slats from a non-M and the chrome surrounds from my own car for that exact look.
Gloss black slats FTW! |
