Staggered Set-up on Base 330I

I just acquired a 2006 330i Base Model, and comes with 17 wheels with 225 all around. Looking at tirerack.com and tires.com, doing staggered 18x8 and 18x8.5 on 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 seems to be okay. Just wanted to know if anyone has done this on base model and have they experienced any issues? The 330i is not an XI.

That's standard on the sport model. Go for it.

Running BMW OEM Style 197's on our 2006 325i non-sport, no issues
18.0 x 8.0 with 225/40/18 front
18.0 x 8.5 with 255/35/18 rears
