Brake Fluid DIY

I know some guys get hung up on "it's not a flush it's a replacement" or whatever, but i'm trying to get some DOT 4 or 5.1 fluid where the current stuff is ... whatever you want to call that

i've done this before with my subaru and my e46 m3 with a good amount of success using the power bleeder bottles but curious if anyone knows of any nuances with the f8x.

this is the procedure i use in case someone finds this thread trying for the first time:

thanks guys!

Since our brakes and clutch share a common fluid reservoir, do you have to bleed the clutch as well (bleed port on the output cylinder)?

good question ... I know with a traditional clutch (on my e46 m3 I used to have) guys would advocate bleeding the clutch as well but it was a bit of extra work. many people would skip that. I have a DCT so I'm honestly not too sure about what steps would change for me.

thanks for the bump, anyone have input?
