QC issues on 2015 XM's

Has anyone found out any information regarding the QC hold on non HEA trucks out of Spartanburg. Mine has been sitting in Spartanburg for a couple of weeks now and per the dealer there is some kind of QC hold on everything besides the original units.

My X5M has been on hold for three weeks also. Production was completed March 3. The dealer told me there is a QC issue with my car. I thought I was the only one.

Mine was completed March 6 and has been sitting ever since. I was told it was a hold on everything beyond the HEA cars already shipped out.

I've heard a rumor about some trouble with the new wheels, not the first batch but the latter ones. Might be worth checking with some who have inside contacts

wdimagineer might be able to dig up more info.

there hasn't been any issues in my X6M yet.. i hope i don't get some hidden issue.. i went into production first week of march - shipped out of spartanburg march 9th.

Did you go for the 21" wheels or the 20"s?

Those of you that are held up in QC, which did you go with?....

One of my friends just got a call from his dealer today saying that the next available production timeframe goes to september with the new MY2016 for Canada.

I find it a bit weird that there's no more allocations

I ordered 21s but I think it was built with 20s. I don't think the wheels are the problem with my build though.

2016 starts production in July at this point I might very well punt.

Just got off the phone with BMWNA and my truck left the VPC in Oxnard at 3:09 pm PST yesterday should be at the dealer tomorrow or Friday. Apparently the QC hold is over.

They won't tell you any other information on the 800 number? Sorry man that is strange.

I thought mine was still in South Carolina, so was surprised to hear it had just left the VPC. Maybe yours is on the move as well.

The 800 number is useless in my case. The recorded message has been saying "waiting to be released to carrier" for three weeks. It should take less than one week from end of production to transportation. When I speak to a live person, the last info they have in their system is from March 3, the supposed completion date. They can't tell me anything more, and they tell me to contact my dealer. There's definitely a problem with my order.

Sorry for you when I spoke with a live person this morning they were able to tell me where the car was what time it arrived and left the VPC and when it was scheduled to arrive at the dealer

Thanks, but I don't have much hope. The people at Customer Relations have no information in their computers. Makes me think there is some kind of conspiracy lol.

Yeah I have a space gray X5M now and very interested in seeing the difference between the two, plus i'll try and grab some side by side comparisons between my 2013 X5M and the new one.
