3 series to 4 series?

Hi I am considering a change to 4 series coupe.

Has anyone gone from the F30 3 series saloon to the f32 4 series coupe ?
Did you have any regrets or issues ?

I notice that the boot space is slightly smaller in the 4 series any issues fitting in a golf bag and electric trolley? This currently fits fine in my 3 series. Will I have any issues with the slightly smaller 4 series boot space. Thanks in advance.

Why not a 4 Gran Coupe if practicality is a concern? Their boot is almost as big as the 3 Tourer, and has an electric boot lid!

4 Series Gran Coupe has the same 480 litre boot as the 3 series but it is a lot more accessible with the hatchback opening
The coupe has a 445 litre boot so only 35 litres less can't see it causing you any problems getting the clubs in, It does show the boot briefly in this review.

I think you're forgetting that the 4GC's parcel shelves are removable! :

Yes I did consider the 4GC but wanted to keep the 2 door looks / size. No big deal to fold down the seats but would be over the moon if clubs and electric trolley fit like in the 3 series. If the boot is 35 litres less in volume where is the reduction is it width height or depth?

I moved from a 335d saloon to a 428i convertible. Personally I preferred the 335d engine and the power delivery of the diesel (as well as the fuel economy).
I'm not sure about the boot space in the 4 coupe compared to the convertible but with the roof up the boot seems significantly smaller than the 3 saloon. I know my golf bag will struggle to get into the boot although I haven't tried yet. i don't have folding rear seats either. Make sure you spec these if you need to get clubs in the back.
I'm hoping the summer will make me feel that it was worth the change because on the whole I regret it so far.
Also think about whether going to a 2 door and losing the 5th seat will be a problem. It has caused some issues for me occasionally.

Yes defiantly will spec the folding rear seats. I have currently got the 335d and would agree that the power delivery and fuel economy gives best of both worlds. To honest I think I would stay with the 35d engine in the 4 series coupe. Just worried that the slightly smaller boot will cause an issue with the golf clubs.
