Final Mods Complete..
With the first warm day of spring here in Ireland I thought I'd give the 4 a wash and let you all see what mods I've completed.
1) M-Performance Grille 2) M-Sport Rear Spoiler 3) CF front splitter 4) M-Performance Rear Diffuser (painted at sides and middles section left matt) 5) 335i style exhaust conversion (branched off before back box to give second outlet and modified original outlet from back box to fit diffuser. 6) Fitted 6 series M-Sport slash cut exhaust tips (Felt the slash cut suited the curvature of the lines from the side profile at the rear and prevented the chance of the dreaded "wheel barrow" look! I wanted to go for as close to OEM look as I possibly could, whilst still making something a bit "different" and eye catching without going OTT. I THINK I'm finished now, I do too many miles to look at suspension upgrades to lower the car. The only itch I may have left to scratch are new alloys with a matt black/gun metal finish? Any questions welcome and hope it possibly gives someone else a bit of an idea if they were planning similar mods!

Thanks Jon, Got it from my stealer cough* DEALER! It's an M-Sport one. Can't decide whether I prefer it to the M-Performance one. I went for subtlety, though feel it gets lost sometimes! Lol
Some more pics of front...

Looking good Tom, I really like the exhaust conversion, I think I might be doing the same to my vehicle or I might stick to the twin exhaust like the 420d March 2015 models I'm still undecided.

Looks good some nice mods, car looks good.
Admittedly still not sure about 320/420 having 2 exhausts, looks ok, Does it remove some of the tractor sound? More so after passing an AW 320d today |

Looking good, especially the exhaust!
Much prefer a slash cut myself.

Thanks Gents!
SkyJawa - Lol!! As long as it's put on my car and not chasing me in the form of the blues n twos! Maybe for one of those colored grills that everyone loves in here! Brigand - After my 635d I loved the symmetry of the twin exit. I'm not interested in performance/sound improvements - purely aesthetics. Doesn't hide the tractor sound unfortunately! A 4cyl is a 4cyl no matter what way you put it..! Raj - bought the splitter from CNautofans. Recommended. Fitment was very good considering it's not made by bmw! I adjustments needed at all! Some 3M tape and fix with bolts holding the underside of the front bumper! Done Cheers tengo! Dealer said you couldn't get slash cut for 4er, and I was trying to explain what I meant by showing him a 640d in the showroom - then I thought why don't i just get those ones!..and hey presto! Chris - You have us all in suspense..!?..reminds you of... |
