getting more confident with my 335D now especially since the acs springs seem to be bedding in quite well.

so i nailed it on a corner that leads to the motorway sliproad and boom the back end was out for a play. i kept the right foot planted and i felt the xdrive and trac straighten her back up fairly quickly.

my previous quattro would never let me swing the tail!!

Lol, yes the backend will come out, in the S drive, you sort of new it was going to do it every time.

With the xdrive, there is no guarentee, so it can catch you by suprise.

Admittedly, when I see someone backend out n fish tailing I do think knob, as not really suitable for majority of public roads, having said that.....

Sport+ or dsc completely off?
With it off completely it will hold a sustained slide for quite a reasonable time in the right conditions

Wet car parks and roundabouts are your friends

I know RWD is far better, however with 4WD, a power slide can be gracefully reigned in without too much user intervention.

It's worth playing about but you need to be quite brutal. I had a nice 4 wheel drift going the other day!

Thinking of doing a performance driver training day later this year, to someplace with a low friction surface so I can have a play and see how it reacts to different actions.

I remember the first time I did a four wheel drift.

It was completely unintended.

Back in my younger days I had a Evo VII.
Dropped from 4th into 2nd whilst going round a large bend coming off a slip road.

Scared the shit out of me but I'm told byy mate in a car following me that it looked awesome from outside.

I was thinking of doing some when next up in Anglesey, they have I believe a full training setup.

That and the road up there from mine is excellent

Probably you had the car in sport or sport plus mode, otherwise ESP does not let the car to do that.
Have felt little slips rarely when forcing it but straights it up almost unnoticeably.

Loads of track days where you can take your own car.

Try trackdays.co.uk or javelin track days or Motorsport vision

This place does driver instruction using your own car
http://www.marotprodriving.com/
A mate of mine has done several, and says the instruction is very effective and good value for money as lots of action.
