What have you treated your car to today?

As the title suggests; have you bought anything for your car today (or recently)???

Having joined the forum I have caught the modding bug again! Thanks guys

I have just blown a hole in my pocket! Ordered:
M performance twin exhaust
M performance rear diffuser
M performance front splitter
M3 style gloss black grilles

Anyone in the South Yorkshire region handy at fitting the above?!

Could we make this a stickie? Then people can just added to it when they've treated their car

ive not had mine long either and ive done the following to my saph black 335

1.rear spoiler,

2.smoked rear reflectors, mirror indicators and front fogs,

3.acs springs*awesome!*

4.debadge

5.black kidney grille

things i will be doing next:

1.quad exhaust + jagged diffuser,

2. half black powdercoat 403's

3. mesh back of front bumper grilles and colour jet black

things i decided against after much thought.

1. lacquer tint front and rear lights, really wanted the all black theme. but having seen it done now on a few black cars this mod leaves little character to the car. i am still considering this but it would have to be a very light tint only.

2. front splitter. convinced myself i wanted one on. then after much thought i couldnt live with the lines it leaves rly looks like it has just been shoved on. if they made a msport bumper with it molded in id be all up for it

3. m perf skirt sticker = tacky

4. skirt extensins = tacky

It's now sitting happy in the car park

A new front fog light on the passenger side as it looks like a stone has broken the glass and the bulb inside and the car keeps telling me it is broken every time I turn the engine on.

What mileage are you on now?

I sold my E46 330d with 158k miles(bought it with 70ish on the clock) and I'm planning to see if I can exceed that with this car!

At current rate that would be at around 6 years, so helps enormously with the man maths!

Think about 35k. I did just under 140k in the 750i in 3 years - wasn't what I'd call cheap motoring but boy it was comfortable Have cut down on trips and now using office Mini's more for little trips. Hopefully should stay around 25k now.

Do none of you guys have wives? How do you get away with ordering so much stuff? I'll be paying in kind over the next 5 years for simply getting my car

Came home with a bmw carrier bag the other day and was accosted at the front door. 'Cant afford a weekend away but can afford constant car stuff' I believe was shrieked in my direction Was only screen wash and oil ffs!

The only other thing I'll get away with is a winter wheel set. Currently got a tab open on the iPad and waiting for the balls to press the button after pay day.

Back on topic, fitted the performange pedals (replicas) as inspired by tengo (I think) and got some nice wash goodies on the way from Elite Car care.

Good thread op

Erm yup but use a few good rules.

a) her car is more expensive than mine anyway
b) most of upgrades in terms of cost she can't see
c) just bought her an iPod to justify my spending same amount on splitter
d) it's a company car so put it all through company anyway

Haha! It doesn't all come entirely without flak, but on the other hand I work hard and she's always known cars are my thing. Buying her a new mini helped too.

Some of those things are pretty cheap or part of the consumables of a car (brakes, tyres, wipers, bulbs etc.) and some are investments eg. Ventureshield

I'd argue that suspension and power upgrades are investments as they're still cheaper than swapping the car for an M3!
