No BMW Remote Services, Google destination send to car?

Hi All, at long last my car is in the country however I have come across a problem that I hope you can please help with.

I rang BMW and got my VIN number last Friday, I then filled out the form on the website to active connected drive services.

I have received the below email saying that it doesn't include remote services or send to car? I'm confused. I ordered the pro system which was £750 extra in November. Was there a separate option? Can this be added now?

Thanks in advance!

Dear Mr xx

Chassis: Xxxxxxx

Thank you for your application to set up your BMW ConnectedDrive account.

I can confirm that your vehicle has been fitted with the BMW Emergency Call and BMW Teleservices functionality as standard. I can advise that both of these services are vehicle services which do not require personal configuration in the Customer Portal.

As this service does not have BMW Remote Services, Google destination send to car function or information plus call, it does not require a username and password to be issued.

I am pleased to confirm that your BMW ConnectedDrive Services (embedded SIM card) have been activated during production. Therefore, please be advised that both of these services are currently active and functioning on your BMW and will be available for the lifetime of the car.

Should you require any further information please contact your preferred BMW Approved Centre or contact our Customer Information Support Team at bmwconnecteddrive@bmwfin.com.

Yours sincerely

BMW UK

Bit of a non-post! After creating this thread, I ran the VIN through the checker and it said it was a red 316d.

So another call to BMW and received the correct VIN.

Did you need the registration number to activate the connected drive services? when i looked before you needed to provide the VIN and Reg No?

Yes you need the reg mark. I have been given this idea of getting it registered in connected drive service by another member Brigand. But mine was at the dealer and a reg mark allocated so when i picked the car all of these were ready.

Yeah, I had all mine sorted before delivery.

Even sent a few 'send to car' tests.

Also setup my virgin media email via connected drive.

Remember to set up battery guard etc.

I have a private reg. I put that into the space.

Doubt the check that as it was the same reg I put in when given the 316d vin.....
