It's really depressing that a metropolis like New York has such crap street surfaces.

And I thought I had it bad here with Iowa's roads. There are a good amount of shitty roads with uneven paving and decently sized potholes and I try my best to avoid them, but I can't imagine what the roads are like there, especially in this weather. It must be a nightmare.

A pothole did me dirty, too. I'm in the process of trying to get the correct tire right now.

God I love living in Arizona. I don't think I have ever hit a pothole in the 8 years I have resided here.

Ouch... Sounds like the roads are pretty bad out there. Not sure if it's possible to avoid the potholes but I ALWAYS slow down (at least a little) when I see a hole coming up and I can't go around it. I hate hearing the suspension completely compressing or going BANG. Breaks my heart. Also I always take my foot off the brake when going over a pothole, otherwise the car is being pulled into the hole and increasing the impact. Unfortunately broken tires are a reality with low profile tires and bumps. Hope you can that tire replaced quickly.
