Cost of a service for a 320D

Do BMW publish the service costs anywhere ?

I've got a horrible feeling I've just been shafted ...

Telephoned and gave them car details, mileage etc. and i was given a quote around £220

I booked the car in and told it only needed brake fluid changing £100

After I dropped the car of they messaged me to say it was going to be £469 excluding the brake fluid change which was not due till August.

when I queried all the mis-information the price came down to £378

To cap it all they charged me for washer fluid despite me filling it to the brim minutes before I dropped it off

This makes the service plan look like a great deal.

A lot of dealerships will either price match or undercut for servicing.

Also things like washer fluid, get chatty with your parts guy, he sits on his own all day, make a point of saying high when you pop in to order bits etc or just in passing.

Plenty freebies or decent discount IF you ask

The cost for a service depends on the mileage/age of the car, and what the onboard computers are saying needs doing.

However, that could be a little excessive. The last service on my old E91 318d was oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, and the total price was about £270.

Some numpty reversed into mine before Christmas and drove off. Fortunately the damage was minimal but it did smash the reflector strip.

Car went in for its "quality enhancement" and I asked them to fix the reflector as well. They charged me for the part which is fine but also £10 labour to fit it??

It basically just snaps into place....

Couldn't be arsed to argue tbh but it did seem a bit like they were taking the piss as if I'd know id have "fitted" it myself.

Does make me glad I have a service pack for the routine stuff.
