i thought some are still waiting for their 2015. You're already getting production on 2016 to start in April?

Yes, please clarify. My 2015 X5 M is supposed to be produced week of May 4-8th, for a PCD delivery a week later. I'd feel a bit slighted to get a previous model year made after the next model year began production. According to the attached BMW production schedule, MY 2016 isn't slated to begin production until August 2015. Here's the address of the original thread regarding production dates:

2016's don't start production until August 2015. This is a fact per the production schedule listed above

Forgive my ignorance. So then when would be the cadence of when to order then get production slot and then how long to make and to ship it to dealer? Is it roughly 2 months or 3 months etc to get car from production date to arrival.

Production slot, or allocation, depends on the dealership. Some dealers get more allocations than others. Once the car goes into production, it only takes about a week to complete. If you're in the US, and the car is built in Spartanburg, it should only take a week or two to get to your dealer, depending on where in the US you live.

Agreed...an April allocation will produce a 2015 MY, not 2016.
