Bluetooth tethering with retrofited Combox

Hi,

I have a retrofited Combox which I have coded with a US VIN.
BMW Live and internet have been wokring fine. Since a couple of week
it does not work any more. There a dozens of german users in several german forums with the same problem. So I wanted to ask non german users with retrofited Combox, if the BT tethering still works?

There might be a problem with BMW Live, as it isn't working for me either.

I haven't tried out the internet browser, not sure why that wouldn't work. I will check it out today and let you know.

OK, thanks mate. I think, currently there is a problem with BMW servers.

I hope so, hopefully they didn't block the VIN we are using or something.

I also retrofit combox bmw online and internet that worked. but since 15 days it does not work.

Im using russian VIN... Installed for a couple of days. never worked at all.. hmm.. Maybe my retrofit is not the problem? Please tell me when yours works again.

Do not bother, currently the BMW servers are not working, that's why your VIN does not work. Currenty no VIN works, because the Server which much return the answer to the Combox returns some error. I'm checking the status each day and I will write here as soon as the servers are ready.

Ot: i dont se any album art playing local files on cic or when streaming via bt from iPhone. Why?

As far as I know it is only supported via USB under the armrest or over iPhone in snap in adapter.

It really sucks that it isn't working still :/ going on a 2k road trip for spring break and would have liked to have BMW Live.

I found a post in a forum, saying that for a couple of years this problem hast had lasted 3 months :O !, this is not ok. But the problem is, for thos who retrofited combox in non US countries or using a fake VIN, they can not complaint by bmw
