Opinions/Experience with this CSL spoiler

Hi all,
wondering if anyone has any experience with this CSL style spoiler from eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/131435615964...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I know eBay can be hit or miss, so I'm trying to see what anyone might have to say about this item/vendor in particular.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts?

I like the idea of a CSL boot, but can't quite justify the price tag for the full trunk (after painting, shipping to Canada, etc.).

Appreciate any help you guys can provide, thanks!

the first picture is an actual full trunk with top not painted. you can tell, csl trunks are always off on fitment

I don't know that this is true. You can see that the unpainted part is an overlay of some sort.

I'm guessing the whole trunk looks a bit off on fitment because maybe the trunk is unlatched.

I agree its definitely not a whole trunk. Though I think the extra lines that the overlay adds look bad and look more aftermarket and ricer than even some of the cheap CF spoilers.

In a car segment where people try to make things look stock or from the factory, I personally would forgo this option and save up for a real CSL trunk if thats the style you want.

Just my 2c

I can't say I disagree, but I'm willing to make SOME compromises given the price difference ($250 vs. $900+ after paint and shipping to Canada).

Even if paint and fitment are perfect based on others' experience, I may still choose not to get it, but I'm pretty certain a real CSL trunk won't happen at all (I'd rather spend $1k and get something functional than cosmetic only).

Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming! Hopefully someone here actually has experience with this product or seller.

I'm running a csl add on spoiler. The one I bought was cheap and required some heavy sanding and primering to make it look decent. I've never seen a real oem csl lid for the e90/92 vehicles although they did make them for the e46 cars. My reasoning for the add on spoiler is the fact I have not seen a really good quality full csl decklid.

Think you could post some pics of your add-on, and where you bought it from?

Appreciate the feedback.

Funny, I'm in the same boat as you and I ordered up this exact spoiler last week and am awaiting its arrival. Figured if it's garbage I'll send it back/get a refund. Some of the other photos I've seen of the E90 CSL spoiler look clean on darker vehicles like SGM and JB. It did look out of place on lighter vehicles because you could see the dark lines where it met the trunk.

Will keep you posted though on fitment/quality.

Couldn't have asked for a better response! Keep me posted, and send pics from various angles if possible.

Appreciate your help!

To follow-up on this, the spoiler came and it fit like garbage. Wound up letting the seller know and he refunded me almost all of my money. Not worth it.
