What does irdc mean? Are they genuine BMW ones?

Yes, genuine BMW. I was under the impression that that is what they were known as?

ACS refer to them as RDC i valves - http://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/rdc-i...ack-4758-p.asp

In any case, the standard fit TMPS valves.

I haven't totally made it up, see here - http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/t...control_system

Are you sure there are two types?
I was under the impression there was just the "wheel speed" system and the "pressure sensor" system.

Apparently BMW use both, don't know if it's sepcific to the series, best thing to do would be list the part numbers you have, then the buy can cross check them with their own chassis number.

These are made by Continental, seem identical to those fitted to my 4/14 car.

Apparently there are 2 different types, HUF & VDO, i can't really find the info on it though!

I don't have TPMS on my current car, but was considering getting them for my next car.
