Mobility kit for non-Run Flats

Just sorting out my winter tyres (great timing I know!). What are most people using in terms of a mobility kit?

Looking online the BMW kits are damned expensive, though they do appear to come in a nice case. The contents seem pretty similar for most other brands. Any recommendations?

TIA

I have the Continental Mobility Kit, the one with the bottle integrated into it (Orange bit on the end). Less than half the price of the BMW one when I was looking.

2x largest size Holts Tyre Weld and a mini compressor.
They did the job on a puncture in my winters last month.
Tyre Weld was 2 for 1 in Halfords recently.

I've gone for slime, £18, next day delivery, Amazon.
There's plenty of Conti kits on eBay but very few have expiry dates quoted and there's not a lot sub £25 once you include shipping.
Slime seems to have good reviews on Amazon too, mostly it seems from people who are too lazy to actually get their punctures repaired!

The terms and conditions actually say they'll happily guide you through how to use the mobility kit!

Absolute waste of space the mobility kits!

Get yourself a space saver wheel and tyre.

I did that with my Clio, fitted snug in the boot, can't be bothered to do that with this one. I'm going to cross my fingers and go for the mobility kit.

Plus its not just the spare wheel, its also the jack, wheel brace, etc. None of which has a home in the back of an F31. Also if I got a flat at the front, then I'd have to swap the wheels front to back as the space saver wouldn't clear the front caliper.

Really I just hope I won't have to use it!

Waste of time and space.....

My buddies son works for one of the big tyre distributors.

Spends his life rescuing BMW drivers with run on flat tyres (yeah, try driving on a run flat with a butchered sidewall) and people with ' mobility' kits, that are as useful as filling your punctured tyre with cheese, that have failed.....

I'm not sure there is even a mobility kit in the boot of mine. There was one in my 2011 Mini Cooper. I'll look and see. But there's definitely no jack or jacking support (that fit into the square recess).

Not had a puncture in years so I'll keep my fingers crossed to keep avoiding them.

+1

The large holts tyre weld should do the jobs on its own, but I threw in compressor as well

I heard sometimes the tyre weld can't quite hack it and anyway how are you going to check the pressure is correct after a puncture?
