IS OWNERS CIRCLE USELESS?
BMW needs to update Owners' Circle. When I click on my car, the owners manual is for the 2005 3 series, and no maint info for my E90 (only for older 3 series, which I do not own). What good is this site? Day trip information, older 3 series owner manuals, dealer contact inforamtion, and FAQ's (which are 101). What a waste!
I don't understand why BMW can't offer an updated site. |

I agree. As per Tine's comment on how tech-savvy BMW owners/potential buyers are, you would think BMW would put forth the $ to get a really top-notch web site in all aspects. I am an Apple advocate, and some of the virtual reality stuff you can do is amazing. The contrast with the lame 'build your BMW' graphics and options is pathetic. The best advertising/marketing $ BMW could spend, IMO, would be on the website. Make it a place that everyone wants to come and play, maybe even interact. Test drive a Euro delivery, get busted doing 250 on the A6, etc.

When I got my first BMW in 2002 (a 2003 325xi), Owners circle didn't have the user manual on-line for that model on-line till about the middle of 2003...
I agree they need to update that site. However I would say that the new "build your own BMW" graphics and such have gotten better.

I agree - OC needs improvement.
I have added the 330i I recently ordered. Almost everything that is listed when I view the page for my car is irrelevant. The order tracking seems delayed and has very limited information. Owners manuals start with the 2005 model year. Maintenance schedule start with 2004 model year. It presents me with "Ipod your BMW" which if you read the "Just the Facts" section is not available for 2006 3 series. Good idea - poor execution. On order: 330i Sparkling Graphite, Sports, Luxery, Nav, Comfort Access, Sat Prep |

It's a good thing for BMW I didn't base my decision on what car to purchase with my "online experience". The "build your BMW" graphics are a joke. The OC is worthless. The pics here are way better than the junk on BMW's site.

I've actually been very impressed with the financial services section of OC. I find that it's very easy to use and provides a lot of helpful information and data about my lease.
I don't use the other features of the OC site.
