This whole thing is rubbish...
I dont think the BBC can afford to lose Jezza... Let's see how long the BBC can go without him...

Wouldnt be surprised if Clarkson tells the BBC to sod off and sell himself off to Sky or Dave

My vote is for publicity stunt which will lead to the programme returning, and potentially finishing in it's entirety after the 10th episode. No such thing as bad PR.

Not surprised in present day PC and 'ealth and safety gone mad.
While not to the taste of some, IMHO myself and 5+m other people found it entertaining ... But I would like more car reviews rather than 'how much of the budget can I spend on travelling to random countries' |

Clarkson's brilliant. Huge loss to the BBC if he goes as Top Gear would be no more. ITV or Sky would definitely pick him up for a similar show.
BBC is just full of posh, greedy w*nkers. |

Seems that those in charge have had enough too and about time they reminded him of his place and that his bigoted, outdated views simply are not acceptable. Last edited by G82Dude; 03-10-2015 at 02:52 PM.. |

Race issues aside I agree with many things he says, I'm a cyclist too, and I just laugh along with his cyclist comments. He's funny most of the time and top gear is one of the best shows on tv. To be fair it doesn't have a lot of competition as the majority of tv is utter tosh these days. |

I knew someone who worked in the BBC up until a couple of years ago. He told me that 5 signatures were required to approve the purchase of some paperclips. I imagine that that sort of bureaucratic, hierarchical and mechanistic culture would have driven someone like Jezza mad and it is only a matter of time before they part - maybe that is now.

I love the man, i think if there were more people like him in the world, it would be a better place. He isn't offensive, he says things as they are, its up to the people who get offended if they take offence or not.
Rant over on that, i think that if the BBC let him go, it will be the worst thing they can do. However, if they do, Topgear would go with him, and you'll probably see it called something else, but exactly the same, on Sky or Channel 4.

The BBC have had it in for him for sometime. Too many PC goofs in this country. You can't say boo to a goose anymore. PC contravenes a lot of free speech. You can't say sh!t anymore without someone getting their knickers in a twist.
We have become so oversensitive in this country. It beggars belief. Possibly a snotty nosed producer was put up to goad him and he went for it: verbally, I hope. If he hit the little sh!t then that is very different. And I very much doubt he did. But suspend someone for a few choice words? Crazy. They probably feel it is Gross Misconduct. In this country nearly everything is classed as such. Note: I am a grumpy old man! I am Victor Meldrew! I like Clarkson. He makes me smile and laugh. Other motoring journos are deathly boring. I rather watch the grass grow. I want Clarkson back. No Clarkson, no Top Gear. Dead.
