Well, they didn't like being questioned!

Looks good, but I would love to see it handle a speed bump.

As you say though, why?

I could understand it being jacked up higher, but slammed...

To be fair I didn't know they couldn't get the tourer. That was the bit that confused me.

Yeah seems an odd thing to do to something BMW spent time getting to 'ride high' correctly.

Good pics but not for me.

Lol and never try to say anything negative while they are 'blowing smoke'.

Humorously, it's amazing when you saying something negative, the reaction caused.

On the R8 thread on main forum, I made comment on it 'just being an Audi' lol.

It wasn't meant as a negative!

I actually like the American modifying culture, especially compared to our more general obsession with OEM v chav debates.

Just that some I understand more than others!

Yes I like some american modification, engine, suspension upgrades are more common and to be expected.

Here we tend to refer to modding a car as putting a spoiler on it.

However, some of the body kit mods they do are... Thought provoking.

The whole subject is very subjective, just look at debates here on painting or not painting front lip spoilers, black or red rear spoilers on a red car.

Admittedly on this corner of the forum, not everyone will be agreeing ( Emperors New Clothes).

Really not my cup of tea.

As said why buy an X11 then lower it that much?

They can get F31s in the States although I think limited to 320d and 328i.

I learnt last week not to comment on these things!

X1 is a pointless car at the best of times, lowered that much its hard to imagine but seems its possible to make a pointless car even more pointless.

Oh, and X1's look shit too

(can you tell I've never liked them? )

I actually don't think its too bad. My sister has an X1 and loves it. Good compromise with enough space for two toddlers with a far better height for access for the back seat and boot, without the clumsiness of a large SUV like and X5/X6.

Saying that, I question why the OP in the thread would buy an X1 and then lower it!?

Though I do like those alloys to be fair!!

You took the words out my mouth......I speak from actually knowing....I owned a 2l petrol version.....ugly as sin..from all angles. Only thing worth noting was feeling as if you were sitting on top a double decker when actually no higher than a zafira and the rear lights looked ok at night. But that's all
