weird rules
So its a given that if car has xenons that it needs self leveling and headlight washers and all OEM cars come with this.
Test drove new 5 door mini this weekend. It comes with LED headlights but unlike 4 series they use projectors lense same as xenons. Very suprised to find no headlight wash on the car. Seems not needed. Considering the light intensity you would think the rule would apply looks like loophole in the system

You're correct, the rules are different regarding the washer system. I believe it's due to how the two systems work and the effect of dirt on how the xenon beam projects.

I can understand with the M4 / M3 type LED lights and the use of reflectors (aka halogen style) setup. But with Projectors the beam must be similar output.
Just weird and probably usual EU rules playing catchup. IMO better as how many times have owners had the washer system pop / break due to freezing temps etc.
